Exactly where is the studio?
We have two NYC-based Private Studios; Chelsea and Nomad.
Chelsea: We’re located on the 5th floor of 135 W 20th St. Buzz Eurofins #5 and the receptionist will let you in. Take the elevator to the fifth floor and your instructor will be there waiting for you.
Nomad: We’re located on the 9th floor of 121A E 27th St. Take the elevator to the ninth floor and your instructor will be there waiting for you.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself! We have water, small towels, and snacks at the studio but you’re welcome to bring your own water bottle or towel if you prefer.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you're comfortable moving in plus grippy socks or bare feet. Leggings and tighter-fitting clothing help us better see how you move but comfort is the most important thing here so wear what feels best for you.
You want to have a good grip on the Reformer - so we would recommend grippy socks or bare feet > regular socks.
Am I going to sweat?
This is completely up to you! Our sessions range from injury rehabilitation (slow and focused) to higher-intensity workouts (fun and sweaty). When you arrive we’ll discuss what you’re looking for from your sessions and adjust your workout to match.
I’ve never done Pilates before, will this be hard?
Beginners are more than welcome! Our 1x1 sessions mean everything is completely customized to your experience, goals, and current fitness level. There’s no pressure, we’re here to work with you. That being said, if you’d like a hard session let us know and we can definitely make that happen.
We also know how intimidating it is when you first sign up for a session but our instructors are genuine, sweet, and eager to meet you.
